"Taipan Dreaming"
Taipan, oh, Taipan… what can I say?

There is no mistaking the Taipan Wall. She sits fiercely overhanging on top of the horizon-like Flat Rock. She perfected the gentle yet striking streaks of limitless colours: pink, blue, brown, orange, grey, black and etc. At dusk, she glows a majestic orange, magically shines with the setting sun.

For me, it is not about climbing on this wall, but just being close by. It makes me feel so insignificant, and somehow extremely loved and connected.

This painting is by far the longest and the most memorable artist journey I’ve taken, invigorating yet somehow tedious. I lose count of the times I felt completely insane, shaping the most minuscule detail. The sky was one of the most intimidating things to shape. I told myself to let the colours flow and let it be the most organic it could be.
